Glasbeni
festival VOX LACI 2010 Musical Festival

Spoštovani obiskovalci Jezerskega in našega Glasbenega festivala Vox Laci.
Dear visitors of Jezersko, dear guests of our Music Festival Vox Laci. I'm emphasizing »our«, for this year it is the fourth time that the distinguished music events within the Vox Laci – Sound of Lake Festival, will spoil and cheer the locals and visitors of Jezersko. Five concerts and more then 60 acknowledged Slovenian and foreign artists is a firm assurance, that Jezersko is becoming noted after the quality music events as well. It is a great opportunity for all our visitors not only to enjoy the beautiful, unspoiled nature, but also to take part of several music events. I'm proud to say we are happy to support the idea and realization of the Vox Laci Festival.
Milan Kocjan, the mayor |

She has performed at flute conventions in the UK and USA, as well as in recitals and festivals internationally. She teaches the flute at Royal Holloway, University of London and composition at the Open College of Arts and has given masterclasses and workshops at some of the world’s top institutions. In August she will be taking over from Trevor Wye as Programme Director for the British Flute Society’s International Flute Convention. Clare Jefferis won a Foundation Scholarship to attend the Royal College of Music in 2001 and after graduating with 1st class honors stayed on to study a postgraduate. A former member of the National Youth Orchestra, she was awarded a 7 month contract as 2nd flute with the BBC Philharmonic after leaving the RCM in 2006 and has since gone on to freelance with many orchestras in the UK: Philharmonia, English National Opera and others. She was awarded a prize in the Malcolm Arnold Concerto Competition. She is also a NYOS Staffa Award prizewinner. Matjaž Debeljak is a piccoloist and flautist in the orchestra of the Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet in Ljubljana. He has appeared as a piccolo soloist at international flute festivals (in Zagorje 1996, 2004 and 2006 and 2010, in Belgrade 2004 and 2009, BFS Manchester 2008 and Flutewise Live in London 2009). In July 2009 Sir James Galway invited him to play piccolo recital in Weggis. He recorded and published two CD’s - Grafiti and Ideas. The Zagorje Music School Flute Orchestra was founded in the 2004/05 academic year with the purpose of including all of the flute students from the 3rd grade onwards. Initially the orchestra was only made up of “typical” transverse flutes, but in recent years it has expanded its line-up to include the piccolo, alto flutes, bass flutes, recorders, percussion, bass guitar, piano and accordion. The students of the Zagorje Music School are joined by teachers and former students of the school. The orchestra appears primarily at school concerts and performances, charity events and revues. In September 2009, the orchestra undertook an intensive working weekend in Planica, where it rehearsed the programme for its first independent concert, which was given on 9 October 2009 in the orchestra’s home town of Zagorje, within the framework of the International Festival Valvasor Evenings. It performed further independent concerts in Krško and Ptuj. Since its foundation, the orchestra has been led with a great deal of dedication and joy by the flute teacher of the Zagorje Music School, Nataša Burger.
